Branding Methods

Please note that most branding methods require a minimum order to make it economical. We are here to help, email us with your requirements and we can quote on the best method.

As of the 1st April 2021, ANB will not be branding garments supplied by the customer due to too many items coming in covered in animal hair or dirty…

Embroidery- stitched logos
Embroidery is our most utilized branding method where your logo is stitched.
Perfect for caps, beanies, polo shirts, t-shirts, saddle pads, towels and jackets. Most apparel garments can be embroidered.

Advantages
  • Initial set up fees only. (unless the logo gets altered)
  • The logo will not wash off, in most cases it will outlast the garment.
Limitations
  • We recommend avoiding fine detail and font sizes which are less than 4mm high.
  • Only approximate PMS colour matches are possible.
  • Large logos with a lot of stitches do work out costly
  • Logos with colours gradients are not possible for embroidery
Screen-Printing
Screen-Printing is achieved by forcing ink through a fine mesh screen with a squeegee onto the product. T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, towels can all be screen-printed

Advantages
  • Close PMS matches are possible on white or light-coloured products.
  • Many products can print with tight multi-colour registration, with some products able to be printed using up to six colours.
  • Ideal for large back and front prints

Limitations

  • Each colour requires its own setup charge which makes small orders with multiple colours costly.
  • Minimum order 20x units (ideally screen-printing is made for orders of 100+)
Vinyl Printing (Sports Team Numbers & Names)
Vinyl printing is often used when the order is not big enough to justify screen-printing (or the job is urgent!). Its used on sports team number and names most commonly.

Advantages
  • Minimum order of 5x units- (each garment can have a different name/number)
  • No set up fees

Limitations

  • Limited to the vinyl colours available. We are unable to match PMS colours
  • Fine detail and gardients are not possible
Laser Engraving (Etched)
Engraving is our recommended method of branding hard surfaces such as keyring rings, metal pens, metal drink bottles, pocket knives and cheeseboards. The logo will not come off when washed.

We can now offer engraving on fleece, caps and beanies with engraving on apparel possible.

Advantages
  • Higher perceived value than other forms of branding.
  • The branding becomes part of the surface and is permanent.

Limitations

  • Fine detail can be lost on smaller products like pens.
  • No PMS colours are possible as engraving removes the top surface of the product
Sublimination (Custom Made Products)
Ever seen fully printed garments at race tracks? Chances are its sublimated-  it makes multiple logos cost effective. It’s a method of printing that transfers a design into a material or fabric using ink and heat.

Ideal for face masks, flags, table cloth covers, polo shirt, t-shirts

Advantages
  • The result is a permanent, full colour image that won’t crack, peel or wash away.
  • Close PMS matches are possible.
  • Ideal for uniforms that have a lot of logos as there is only one set up fee

Limitations

  • Can only be done with polyester fabrics
  • Minimum order 20x units and above
  • Custom made so 6-12 week turnaround applies. (depending on shipping..)
